Pour the water tracer tablets into the toilet and flush. Use water normally and wait a few days to see if the dye appears on the surface. If you don't see any dye appearing on your property over the next few days, it means that the wastewater is still managing to seep in and is not tending to back up and overflow to the surface.
Dilute the 8 tablets in 4 liters of water and pour the solution down the outlet of the septic tank. Then pour water for about 20 minutes with a garden hose. If no colored water appears on the surface, the wastewater is still seeping into the receiving soil and not backing up to the surface.
The tablets are safe to use, but take a few precautions to avoid staining yourself. Use rubber gloves and work clothes when handling the tablets.
If skin comes into contact with the product, rinse the affected area with plenty of water for a few minutes.
